The inaugural JCSMR Gender Awards were made today to Dr Anne Bruestle and Dr Rebecca Sweet, pictured here with Mr Richard Miller and Dr Julia Ellyard

The JCSMR Gender Equity Award has been stablished through an initial generous donation made by Professor Carola Vinues and will continue with the support of Mr Richard Miller and the John Curtin Medical Research Foundation. The Award is intended to assist researchers experiencing extended career disruption as the result of the birth of a child, or the primary care of a child to maintain their career while on maternity leave, or help re-establish their career on their return to work while still managing the significant demands of caring for a child.
