The CHaSM facility provides exceptional quality services for all researchers by enabling access to a suite of advanced instruments and the expertise of friendly staff. We provide on going support, advice, training and consultancy in the areas of Cell sorting and analysis, Histology and automated stains, Phenocycler and extracellular flux analyser.
Hours of operation
The Facility is open during business hours for all users and after hours for experienced users. Staff are normally available between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.
After hours access
Between the hours of 7 pm to 7 am Monday to Thursday and 7 pm Friday to 7 am Monday. Access is by swipe card for experienced users only. To request after-hours access, please contact the facility staff.
Services
The ImageStream MkII is a multispectral, imaging flow cytometer that can acquire up to 12 channels of images.
The CHASM facility provides access to software for FACS Data Analysis.

The CHASM facility provides access to a range of light microscopy techniques including confocal, multiphoton, live cell and intra-vital imaging.
The Mindray BC-5000 Vet is a haematology analyser that provides quick, low volume analysis of blood, serum and other samples. It provides accurate and reproducible measurements of RBCs, WBCs and platelets, for 23 parameters total.
Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) has been used for concentration and size measurement of nanoparticles dispersed in a medium.
