ANU RNA Research Training Network (RRTN) PhD Program
The Shine-Dalgarno Centre for RNA Innovation (SDCRI) coordinates the ANU RNA Research Training Network program for HDR candidates working in RNA-related topics (including, but not limited to molecular biology, engineering, therapeutics, computational biology, ethics, regulatory, governance and policy) to engage with the Network for additional training and career development. Through this program, SDCRI helps existing PhD students in RNA-aligned research access structured opportunities that build capability, broaden professional networks, and contribute to developing the next generation of RNA experts to meet Australia’s growing R&D demand.
For more information visit the website.
The program is aligned with the NSW RNA Research and Training Network (NSW-RRTN), a NSW Government-supported initiative that connects universities and partner institutes across NSW and the ACT to strengthen RNA research capability and workforce development.
For full program details and the official application instructions, please visit the College of Science & Medicine ANU RRTN page.
What SDCRI provides
As ANU’s RNA innovation hub, SDCRI helps connect candidates to:
- RNA-focused training opportunities and a broader cross-institutional cohort
- Professional development and networking relevant to RNA research and translation
- Potential internship pathways (subject to program guidelines and availability)
Who this is for
This program is designed for high-calibre PhD candidates whose projects align with RRTN priority areas and who want to actively participate in the Network’s training and engagement activities.
Applicants are typically in the early stages of candidature (normally within the first 12 months) and must be willing to commit to program requirements, including training, workshops, networking and a 3-month research internship.
