About
Infectious diseases kill 17 million people each year. Although antibiotics have been instrumental in the treatment of infections, many are rapidly becoming ineffective due to widespread antibiotic resistance. Our lab has engineered a series of novel antimicrobial peptides inspired by the immune system that can kill clinically important bacteria. In this exciting project, you will determine how these antimicrobials destroy bacteria.
