About
Chronic inflammatory diseases are the leading cause of death globally, with more than 50% of deaths occurring due to inflammation-related diseases such as heart diseases, diabetes and cancer. These inflammation-related chronic diseases are triggered by the immune protein NLRP3. Our lab has discovered novel inhibitors of NLRP3. In this project, you will investigate how these drugs work in human cells and preclinical models.
