Talo Innovator Grants

Objective

The focus of these grants is to support high-risk, high-gain research that addresses big questions in our fast-moving field of biomedical research using computational approaches. Talo Innovator Grants will encourage cutting-edge research from students across the Program. Successful projects will focus on proof-of-concept work, which may subsequently seed major, funded research programs.

Selection criteria

An annual total amount of A$40,000 will be available for 4 projects each year requiring proof-of-concept evidence of a new, promising computational technology. Project applications should be led by PhD students and early-career researchers (up to five years post-PhD). Projects including undergraduate and graduate students and/or industry engagement will be viewed favourably.
