Creating micro-Avatar of Tissue for disease modelling

We aim to develop bioreactor technologies to grow Micro-Avatars of Tissue (MATs) by leveraging lessons from epithelial biology and cadherin-driven cell junctions.

About

Many lessons in interconnecting tissue can be learnt from epithelial biology particularly the role of cadherin driven cell junctions. We observed that between different Micro-Avatar of Tissue (MAT) forms cellular networks. We aim to develop bioreactor technologies to promote de novo-grown MATs i.e. reciprocal feedback between MAT stroma, fluid and their environment.
