The Centre for Computational Biomedical Sciences
The Centre for Computational Biomedical Sciences (CCBS) develops advanced computational and medical technologies to enable discovery and interpretation in biomedical research.
The aim of the Centre for Computational Biomedical Sciences (CCBS), led by Professor Eduardo Eyras, is to develop advanced computational and medical technologies to enable discovery and interpretation in biomedical research. Our research and development programs are driven by deeply collaborative and multidisciplinary projects. Team members have appointments within research divisions and technical bioinformatic platforms at the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR), and closely collaborate with core infrastructures to establish new tools and technologies for the broader biomedical community.
At the CCBS we are committed to collaboration. We value the inspiration that comes from open and non-traditional organisational structures in academia or industry. Moreover, team leaders have extensive experience in multidisciplinary training and have mentored students and early career researchers from other areas to transition into computational biology and develop successful careers in academia and the biomedical industry.
