About
Our mission is to enable and enhance research in molecular, genetic, transcriptomic and epi-genetic studies by providing bioinformatics services for the understanding of biological data.
As a Bio-Platforms Australia core facility (funded through the Biomolecular Resource Facility at the John Curtin School of Medical Research), we offer affordable bioinformatics assistance, in experimental design through to final analysis and publication support, to researchers in the Canberra region, across Australia, and beyond.
Our goal is to enable biologists to understand and work with data that might otherwise seem overwhelming or incomprehensible. We develop and run the latest processing and analysis pipelines, as well as providing and advising on the best statistical analysis practices. The ABC team offer consultation and custom solutions to deliver the best outcomes for research and teaching in bioinformatics.
Our services are available to researchers at The Australian National University, the Canberra scientific community and other organisations from across Australia's education, research and medical services community. Commercial and business enquiries are always welcome.
Did you know? We developed one of the first internationally accepted pipelines for showing the genetic stability and allergenic safety for commercial lab cultured meat products! Currently compliant with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES).
