About
Emilie graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Orthoptics (Honours) from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2013. In 2014, she moved to Canberra to pursue a career in research at ANU. She has worked on multiple eye research projects over the last decade including studies on glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, Alzheimer’s disease, concussion, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and myopia. In 2026, she graduated from her PhD from La Trobe University which focussed on optical coherence tomography angiography in children and young adults with type 1 diabetes. She is passionate about her work and has a strong interest in retinal eye diseases, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology.
