EIN Members Grow Green!
Members of the Natoli Lab (Natasha Vassileff, Nick Bariesheff, and Jereme Spiers) recently undertook a tree planting activity at Googong Public School.
This was done as part of a conference held at JCSMR last year - the 11th Joint Meeting of The Society for Redox Research Australasia (SFRRA) and The Society for Free Radical Research Japan).
This was part of the role of the ECR Executive Committee Members of the SFRRA as a way to support and better our local area during Society meetings.
The Society for Redox Research Australasia (SFRRA), established in 1988, is dedicated to advancing research and education in free radical and redox biology throughout Australia and New Zealand. Since its inception, SFRRA has organized 32 conferences, including 11 joint meetings with the Society for Free Radical Research Japan (SFRRJ) . The most recent of these collaborative events, the 32nd SFRRA Meeting and 11th Joint Meeting with SFRRJ, took place from December 9 to 11, 2024, at the Finkel Lecture Theatre, John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University in Canberra .
This premier scientific conference brought together leading researchers and scientists from the region, showcasing cutting-edge research and pioneering technology in the field of redox biology. The event featured presentations on the latest advancements in redox biology, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between Australasian and Japanese researchers. Additionally, the conference supported early-career researchers through travel grants and the Young Investigator Award program, encouraging the next generation of scientists in the field. As part of this, three members of JCSMR (Natasha Vassileff, Nick Bariesheff, and Jereme Spiers) recently did a tree planting at a local School (Googong Public School) to support and better our local area during our Society meetings.
