How RNA modifications connect dyslexic ribosomes and blind fish
Hosted by: Professor Thomas Preiss
Biography
Prof. Leidel’s research explores how RNA modifications, particularly in tRNA-shape translation and influence cellular function. His lab combines molecular biology, biochemistry, and high-throughput sequencing to study codon recognition, tRNA stability, and proteome dynamics.
Previously, he led a Max Planck Research Group in Münster, Germany, and has held positions at ETH Zurich. His work has significantly advanced our understanding of RNA-based regulation in development and disease.
