Understanding the role of matrix protein signalling in health and diseasen
Hosted by: Associate Professor Simon Jiang
Abstract
Extracellular matrix proteins were initially thought to provide only structural integrity, but recent work has clarified their role in cell signalling and stress responses. This talk will focus on thrombospondin-1 and its high affinity receptor CD47, and their (patho)physiological role across many organs.
