About
Claire obtained a PhD in plant molecular genetics from the ANU in 2002, then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at CSIRO and the University of Florida before returning to the ANU in 2012. During most of this time her focus was identifying genes using map-based cloning and developing genetic markers for whole genome linkage map construction. After many years spent as a molecular biologist, Claire joined the ABC as a bioinformatician in February 2019 where she specialises in developing methods for analysis of genotyping-by-sequencing data.
