Content navigation
Description

Ever wondered about how your brain and nervous system work? How do we think, learn, feel and experience?
This National Science Week, Canberra’s own neuroscientists who work to answer these very questions will open their doors to show the public just what it is they do.
At BrainTeaser 2022, explore the inner workings of the brain, learn about how your senses work, and meet neuroscientists doing world-class research right here in Canberra. There will be interesting content for all age groups with fun, interactive displays and demonstrations as well as short talks covering a wide variety of topics, from how music makes us feel to how exercise saves our vision and how flies can help us cure brain cancer. There will also be opportunities to ask your questions directly.
Bring the kids along for creative brain-themed activities, enter a competition or two, and don’t forget to grab your free brainy showbag.
This free, all-ages event will take place on August 20 at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, ANU, from 10 am - 3 pm. Food and coffee will be available on-site and we are wheelchair accessible.
So come along to BrainTeaser 2022, it’s sure to blow your mind.
