JCSMR student Cynthia Turnbull, who is studying immunology in the Vinuesa Group, has won the First Prize and the People’s Choice Award of the College of Health & Medicine 3MT competition.

The College of Science and College of Health & Medicine 3MT competition was held on Tuesday 20 July. Seventeen HDR candidates competed for access to the ANU 3MT 2021 final.

After an extremely difficult selection by the judges, Cynthia’s thesis, “Make Autoimmunity a memory and not a disease”, was voted to be the First Prize as well as People’s Choice.

Cynthia will compete in the ANU 3MT final at Llewellyn Hall on 1 September 2021, representing JCSMR  as one of two finalists from the College of Health & Medicine.
