Capabilities

The PTI is currently able to run the following assays with room for customisation to suit your research needs. Please contact us to discuss arrangements.

Immunophenotyping

Human flow cytometry panels

The following panels detect over 90 different cell populations from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). A minimum of 1x 10^6 cells is required per panel
  • Panels: T Cell | B Cell | NK, Myeloid & Dendritic Cells | Lymphocyte Activation
Mouse flow cytometry panels

The following panels detect ~100 different cell populations from various murine tissues.
  • Blood: T Cell | B Cell | Leukocyte Overview
  • Spleen: T Cell | Antigen Presenting Cells | Germinal Centre
  • Bone Marrow: B Cell Development| Myeloid Cell Progenitors

Meso Scale Discovery® (MSD) Technology

The Meso Scale Discovery’s Multi-Array® technology provides more precise sensitivity than regular ELISAs, with the ability to quantify up to 10 analytes per well. This platform has a wider dynamic range than traditional ELISAs and is thus able to determine baseline levels of cytokines and immunoglobulins in the sera and identify differences in analyte levels with better sensitivity down to pg/mL.

It is important to note that the manufacturer has determined lower limits of detection for each analyte. While this data remains informative, values below the LOD cannot be accurately measured and cannot be used to conclusively demonstrate reductions in cytokine or immunoglobulin levels.

Biochemistry Analysis

The Indiko™ (Thermo Scientific™) platform allows clinical chemistry analysis of serum, which provides informative data from serum of mouse models that can be evaluated in comparison to diagnostic chemistry results obtained from human patients.

The Indiko™ requires 300uL of serum, and so often needs to be performed separately to the other blood and serum assays listed above. More information available in the Indiko™ Analyzer Brochure here.

ANA slides

Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) are a useful marker of disease, particularly autoimmunity.

We have the capability to detect the presence of ANA in mouse serum by immunofluorescence.
