JCSMR is housed in a spectacular building with state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities, including high-throughput sequencing, electron and multiphoton microscopy, FACS, transgenic animal breeding and supercomputer resources.

As an ANU PhD student, you will be able to attend professional development and training programs, including courses on statistics, professional writing and public speaking. You will also be given the opportunity to choose a personal mentor from among our faculty. Your mentor will smooth your path through your PhD, as well as offer practical advice on how to build a satisfying career after you graduate.

Successful candidates will receive a three-year living allowance to complete their PhD with us in Canberra, named as one of the world’s most liveable cities. Your stipend will be at least $27.082 per annum, tax-free. In addition, Fee Remission Merit Scholarships may be offered to eligible International students. See here for more details.
