Congratulations to Dr Samantha Montague, who was awarded second prize for her presentation Fibrin-mediated GPVI shedding in patients with trauma or inflammation at HAA (Haematology Australia). This  is the top award in non-malignant Haematology in Australia. Sam was presented with a certificate and cheque by the President of the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand (THANZ), Professor Harshal Nandurkar.

At the same conference, Ms Sarah Hicks won the THANZ workshop poster prize for her poster entitled Platelet and tumour cell interactions: the Thing about ADAMs.

Both Sam and Sarah are in The Gardiner Group - Mechanisms of Thrombosis and Cancer in the ACRF Department of Cancer Biology and Therapeutics at JCSMR.
