About the Program

The Medical Sciences Graduate Studies program at the Australian National University aims to provide students with a diversity of opportunities and training in biomedical research. It draws on and encourages graduates to take advantage of the broad spectrum of expertise and facilities of Canberra's large and distinguished biological, biochemical and clinical community and as such is a broad based program for students studying for research degrees (PhD and Master of Philosophy).

The Graduate Studies area in Medical Science offers a range of research projects that involve fundamental applications of molecular, computational, biochemical, cellular, developmental, genetic and physiological processes in humans and animal models in health and in disease.
