Live cell imaging

There are a number of microscopes available for short and long term live cell imaging. The ICF has the following equipment for live cell imaging that can be used on the microscopes in the facility:

  • Okolab stage top incubator chamber with temperature and humidity controller
  • Harvard Instruments micro-incubator and perfusion chamber
  • Tokai Hit Thermo Plate
  • Okolab objective lens heater

The Olympus IX81 brightfield/fluorescence microscope is available for long term imaging

  • Cell R multi-dimensional control software
  • Incubator enclosure, humidity and CO2 control
  • Objectives lenses 4x, 10 x, 20 x, 40x, 60x oil, 100x oil
  • Filters for DAPI, FITC, CY3, TxRed and CFP/YFP

A new Zeiss Axio Observer microscope will arrive in August and will be available for short and long term imaging.
