Research Interests

  • Role of gap junctions in vascular function, particularly in relation to local and spreading vasodilator responses
  • Involvement of voltage dependent and independent mechanisms in nerve mediated vascular responses and spontaneously rhythmical contractions
  • Changes in vascular responses during hypertension and diabetes
