Our Research

Molecular Genetics of Complex Diseases

Disease gene mapping of genes involved in susceptibility to the inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) as well as haemochromatosis, malignant hyperthermia, restless legs syndrome and myopia. We are physically situated at the Canberra Hospital and have strong international links with a number of groups around world working on the molecular basis of inheritance of complex diseases.
