Charis Teh wins Becton Dickinson Science Communication Prize

Charis Teh wins Becton Dickinson Science Communication Prize at the 2012 meeting of Australasian Society for Immunology at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

One of the highlights of the annual ASI meeting is the BD Science Communication Prize symposium, where six of the top young scientists from Australia, New Zealand and Asia are selected to present their research findings and compete for the coveted $500 award for "clear communication of exciting science to the media and the public".

Charis is an ANU PhB and PhD graduate, and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the JCSMR with Dr Anselm Enders and Professor Chris Goodnow.

This award adds to Charis other recognition, including PhD student travel bursary, ASI NSW/ACT regional meeting, August 2009, First Prize, Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition, ANU 2011 and Fresh Science Finallist, Melbourne, July 2011.
