The ANU final of the Three Minute Thesis was held on the 18th of September, and it was a very successful night for the Science students! The JCSMR's finalist, Jennifer Robertson, (pictured far right), from the Cerebral Cortex Group was the Runner-up. Her title was: Sniffing around the universal gateway to seizures. She put in a brilliant performance and was only just edged out by an astronomer, Elsie Hampton.
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an international competition for research students to showcase their research. Students have to talk about what their research is and why it is important in plain language for three minutes, with only a single PowerPoint slide.
