A celebration of the life and work of Emeritus Professor David Curtis

We warmly invite you to attend the Celebration of the Life and Work of Emeritus Professor David Curtis, to be held on 22 August in the Shine Dome from 10am to 12pm (followed by refreshments).

David was a distinguished medical scientist, elected to the Australian Academy of Science in 1965 for his work on the identification and pharmacology of central transmitters in mammals. David was appointed Director of The John Curtin School of Medical Research at ANU from 1989 to 1992, and served as President of the Australian Academy of Science from 1986 to 1990.

ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt described David as ‘a pioneering researcher in the field of pharmacology, an inspiring leader and a delightful human being'.
